The Vantage is a very compact 1.5 Tesla MRI system that combines an ultra short bore of only 149 cm with a spacious bore aperture of 65.5 cm. Through the use of a magnet that comprises multi windings a very wide scan field of 55 x 55 x 50 cm (X x Y x Z) with a superb homogeneity is ensured.
The Vantage comes with the Pianissimo gradient enclosure which means that the gradient coils are mounted in vacuum chamber and therefore an acoustic noise reduction of over 90% compared with conventional techniques is achieved. This advanced technology greatly enhances patient comfort, improving the clinical performance for high resolution / high SNR whole body applications.
In order to improve the workflow in a hospital environment, a detachable tabletop and a non-ferric trolley are optional available.

SPEEDER technology, an advanced parallel acquisition technology, supports high-speed imaging; allowing high-quality diagnostic information to be acquired in a short scanning time. In particular, the QD Torso SPEEDER coil and QD Head SPEEDER coil feature excellent performance due to the use of the multi-QD technique (8-QD), further expanding the range of applications of SPEEDER technology.
The digital RF system consists of a digital transmitter and wide band 4 or 8-channel analog / digital receivers supporting ultra-fast signal processing for ‘real-time’ imaging, producing high quality images with conventional linear, Quadrature and phased array coils. The digital transmitter with an output rating of 20 kW provides the precise RF-phase control required to perform advanced pulse sequences such as FASE. To ensure patient safety, RF power is emitted only when the SAR value calculated by the system is below a preset limit.
Through use of Hyper Threading technology™, the computer system is designed to provide outstanding multi tasking performance, permitting image reconstruction and advanced image processing simultaneous with scanning. The Vantage features totally Icon-based user interface. With the mouse, the operator just points-and-clicks his way through the powerful commands: it makes operating the system very easy and ensures an optimal productivity. In addition, the synergy between software user interface (specially developed to ensure smooth and streamlined workflow) and the high-speed computer and reconstruction system ensures that various operations and processing are performed at high speed.
