Scientific and technological progress is very apparent in cardiology. In only a few years a significant number of new developments have emerged. As a company committed to R&D, Toshiba has played a major role in the advancement of cardiac technology to establish today's standard.
Toshiba has a long history of leading innovations since the development of the first X-ray tube back in 1914 to the Dynamic Volume Imaging technology of today.
Following the Made for Life commitment, patients are the primary focus of our technology innovations. Whether giving surgical teams better access to perform complex cardiac procedures or, giving patients the option to complete needed MR exams when contrast is contra-indicated, this commitment to help improve cardiac patient care spans across all our modalities.
Examples are the world’s first Dynamic Volume CT scanner – the Aquilion ONE – that is both the latest step in the natural progression of multislice imaging and a quantum leap that will carry CT imaging into the future. Or – in Ultrasound – the new Artida that provides unprecedented image quality, ultra-fast and straightforward 4D volume navigation and advanced wall motion assessment.
CARDIAC Ultrasound
Artida brings best-of-breed cardiac 4D imaging to everyday clinical use. Its intuitive SmartSlice functions allow you to cut, slice and position your 4D volume quickly and conveniently. Also the powerful combination of the Artida and the innovative 3D Wall Motion Tracking technology offers new functions. 4D echo and the quantification of the LV function become so simple and intuitive that they will change your way of routine diagnostics.
CARDIAC CT
The Aquilion ONE is Toshiba's unique, world's first dynamic volume CT system. The wide coverage provided by the 16cm detector, with 320 detector rows, enables cardiologists to capture he entire heart in as little as one rotation for coronary analysis, or over a single heartbeat to include complete functional diagnosis. Each reconstructed 3D volume represents exactly the same phase of the coronary arteries with homogenous contrast enhancement.
CARDIAC X-Ray
The Infinix CF-i brings revolutionary flexibility to floor-mounted X-ray systems. The unique design enables operators to move the C-arm around the exam table as needed to obtain the optimal angle for cardiac and general angiography. New High-definition Cardiac Flat Panel (C-panel) technology provides a fine balance of low noise and easy visualization of small detail whether displayed in dynamic or static mode. Excellent performance delivers the ability to display intricate blood vessels and small devices like catheters and guide wires.
CARDIAC MR
Vantage MR is powered by Toshiba’s exclusive Atlas technology featuring the world’s first 128 element RF coil design providing unprecedented images quality for the best cardiovascular diagnose. A complete suite of contrast-free MRA techniques offers produce image quality that is as good as – or better than – images acquired using gadolinium-based agents.
